How many times have you said that to one another? Well if you have ever sailed on a flush deck boat, you may likely never want to go back to clambering around the coach roof and skimpy side decks of traditional boats. All of the Mark II series of Columbia Yachts designed by the great Bill Tripp, have foredecks that you could play tennis on. The broad decks provide an incredibly safe and secure platform. It is great for kids and pets and anyone trying to smother a spinnaker. Below decks the 7' headroom in the main salon, 6' 4" in the forward cabin and full width 10' beam make this the most spacious live-aboard / cruiser that you could imaging. Drumsong II actually will sleep 7 people, stow all their gear and even let them socialize and eat together at the large dinette. There is a large galley, huge icebox and full crockery all stowed in custom cabinetry and holders. The incredible room produced by a flush-deck design must be seen to be appreciated. The owner has fitted her with many extra lockers and drawers as well as a large sliding chart table over the navigators berth. Bill Tripp was known for fast boats and this Columbia series is no exception. She has raced successfully in Wed. night series and has 4 headsails as well as a spinnaker. This shoal draft boat is a perfect cruising boat. She is heavily built, spacious and a good sailor. If you want to go cruising or just want to move up without breaking your budget, this could be the boat for you.
