Practical Sailor calls the Catalina 30� "One of the most popular 30-foot cruiser-racers ever built". They go on to say that she is a very stiff boat, but the 11 HP diesel offered as original equipment is not enough power. THIS VESSEL HAS BEEN REPOWERED WITH A 1994 18 HP PERKINS DIESEL. She also has a dark blue Algrip finish done in 1997. Equipment on the vessel includes a main, two genoas (150% and 170%), marine head with holding tank, pressure water, and a two burner Origo stove. The Data Marine depth/speed/water temp unit was new in 1997.
