Vol. 15 No1. 2645 Temples Point Rd. Havelock N.C. 28532
WINTER IS HERE (maybe)
As far as the calender is concerned winter has arrived. Im certain eventually it will get
cold, and in preparation of this we have winterized the dockhouse showers and heads. The
clubhouse and showers will be open and heated for your enjoyment throughout the Winter
season. We will continue running water to the docks as long as possible.
DOCKLINES
With Fall and Winter approaching, now is a good time to check your docklines for stiffness and chafe. Replace them if you have any doubts. ALL BOATS SHOULD BE FACING DUE EAST THIS TIME OF YEAR in preparation for NorEasters. The docks run north and south.
ELECTRICAL HEATERS
Just an annual reminder that unattended electrical heaters are UNSAFE and NOT ALLOWED to be left on while the boat is unoccupied.
QUESTION OF THE QUARTER
What word describes a boat that is not heeling ??????
YACHT SALES
To all of you that have bought or sold boats this year, or given us
leads or other assistance. THANK YOU very much for helping us to
have a record year in yacht sales.Yacht sales activity has started to slow
down for the holiday season, but that is probably a good thing. Bill and
Joe really need a rest, we also have Jack Hannon covering NewBern and Jim
Powell covering Carteret County this year, for a total of four agents covering
the coast. Time is now being used to prepare for the Raleigh Boat Shows
on the first and third weekends of February. If you are thinking of putting
your vessel on the market in 2002, now is the time to act. That will allow
us to effectively present it at the boat show and get it into national
advertising by the time yacht sales takes off again in March.
